Perfect Choice makes perfect sense

Once you have taken out a Perfect Choice funeral plan, it is comforting and reassuring to know that you’ve taken care of your funeral arrangements, which will provide financial and practical help for your loved ones at an already distressing time.

Anyone can take out a Perfect Choice Funeral Plan, there’s no upper age limit and no medical or health questions to answer. Once you’ve taken out a plan, all of the funeral director’s costs will be covered.

The plan also includes a contribution towards third party costs (known as disbursements), such as crematorium, clergy or secular officiant and doctor’s fees.

About Perfect Choice Funeral Plans

Perfect Choice Funeral Plans are brought to you by the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) who carry out over 80 per cent of all funerals in the UK.

Each funeral is provided by a funeral director that is a member of NAFD, so you can be sure that your funeral will be of the highest possible standard, in accordance with a strict code of practice.

The money from the plan is invested in a Whole of Life Policy from Ecclesiastical Life Ltd which is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

With this expert partnership, your funeral plan is in safe hands.

A Perfect Choice Funeral Plan gives you exceptional financial security for your money. Every penny of the full value of a Perfect Choice plan (excluding the initial management fee) is held securely and ring fenced to pay for your funeral when the time comes. The funds cannot be used for anything other than your funeral.

The plan guarantees to cover the funeral director’s costs specified in the Purchase Agreement and your family won’t be asked to pay a penny more regardless of how long you live or what happens to costs in the meantime. You can also make a contribution to third party costs. Any money you have paid towards the cost of payment to third parties will rise in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI). If these costs increase at a rate in excess of RPI, then your next of kin/executor or estate will be required to pay for any shortfall.

Putting your plans in place

Your funeral director will arrange everything on your behalf.

You can have either a burial or cremation, and if there are any special details that you’d like, such as hymns or readings, you can include this on your Purchase Agreement, so your wishes are made known.

The plans are very flexible, so if you change your mind or want to add any other requests, you can do so at any time. Your Purchase Agreement will take you through these decisions step by step.

Applying is simple

  1. Fill in your details on the no obligation quotation form.
  2. Perfect Choice will email an information brochure to you and put you in touch with your local NAFD accredited funeral director.
  3. If you‘re happy to proceed, your local accredited funeral director will help you complete a Purchase Agreement with your plan details.

Make sure your plans are known

Let your next of kin and your executor know you have taken out a pre-paid funeral plan. Put this information, and a scanned copy of the Purchase Agreement in your Lifebox.  This is a secure area in which you can place your funeral wishes and other information that needs to be available once you have died.
