Queen: Who Wants To Live Forever?

My Last Song's doctor, Chris Browne, selects his favourite five songs most appropriate for his farewell.

Who Wants to Live Forever: Queen

We try to extend life but, as in the Highlander films that feature this song, do we really want to live forever?

May You Never: John Martyn

You are always welcome to rest and relax with your loved ones. Beautiful lyrics that express just what love is, how important it is and how to recognise it.

Human: The Killers

Just an evocative, haunting, memorable tune and a lyric that has all sorts of messages for a final gathering. 'I'm on my knees looking for the answers, are we human or are we dancers.'

Comfortably Numb: Scissor Sisters

The Pink Floyd track originally called 'The Doctor' given a suitably ethereal rendering by the Scissor Sisters.

Hallelujah Chorus: Handel

A glorious finale to the Messiah – all written in a day. Life will continue ad infinitum.
