Beyonce: Listen

Estelle Desiree Gordon is an all-American girl alright, and all her choices are songs by American girls or in the case of Beyonce, an adopted American girl!

Great choices, Estelle, who by the way is a friend of Rory Armstrong.

Listen: Beyonce

I love this powerful song. It makes me believe in myself. When I listen to this song, I  know I can do big things. Moreover I think that this song can relate to anyone, in any situation where the person feels like what they want doesn't matter, and they feel like they're all alone. But what's important is to listen to yourself because only you know what's right.

Hallelujah: Kate Voegele

This is a cover of the original Leonard Cohen song. I always think that Cohen's lyrical poetry and his view that "many different hallelujahs exist" is reflected in wide-ranging covers with very different intents or tones of speech, allowing the song to be "melancholic, fragile, uplifting [or] joyous" depending on the performer. This one is melancholic and sweet, it touches people, and it always makes me tear up.

Decode: Paramore

This song is about first love - in a way. There's tension and awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward but this can be found at the beginning of every relationship, you just have no idea where this exciting, yet strange infatuation is taking you. And just like Edward and Bella from Twilight we have no idea what's going on inside the other person's mind as they don't know what's going in ours.

Make Me Wanna Die: The Pretty Reckless

I don't really know what this song means. I like to think that it's all about vampires because of some sentences like "opportunities for eternity" and "take, drink my soul". But I don't know if it's true or it's just my fantasy. This mystery makes me love this song even more. It's a powerful, awesome love song, with a great rock sound. Just perfect (licks lips...).

All-American Girl: Carrie Underwood

This song is so cute, but it's also funny because it's a typical situation that many dad's face. It is like my life story: before I was born my daddy wished I was going to be a little boy...but he got me. And I still have him wrapped around my finger.

But I think that it's not just about having a baby boy or a baby girl. This song tells us that we can't always get what we want, but that the surprise can be a better surprise than we can imagine.

By the way I must say that I'm glad I'm an All-American Girl!
